History

 

The Department of Judiciary was created as part of the educational and scientific legal institute of Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University on the basis of the Department of Criminal Law and Procedure and the Department of Civil Law and Procedure on the basis of Order No. 133-k dated October 16, 2008.

With the creation of the department, teachers from other departments were transferred to its staff: from the department of criminal law and process.

From the moment of its creation until September 2019, the department was headed by Mykola Kostiantynovych Galyantych, doctor of legal sciences, professor, corresponding member of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.

Since September 2019, Yulia Volodymyrivna Kerniakevich-Tanasiychuk, Doctor of Legal Sciences, Associate Professor, has been appointed as the head of the department.

The Department of Judiciary is a structural unit of the educational and scientific legal institute of Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University, which conducts educational and methodological work in a number of related academic disciplines and carries out scientific and scientific research activities in certain directions.

The Department of Judiciary is the youngest department of the Educational and Scientific Legal Institute.
The educational process is fully equipped with educational, methodical and informational material, the development and improvement of which is constantly being worked on by the teaching staff of the department.
Today, the staff of the department includes: Prof. Y.V. Kernyakevich-Tanasiychuk, prof. V.M. Makhinchuk, Assoc. O. Ya. Kuzmych, Assoc. O.R. Kovalyshyn, Doctor of Jurisprudence, PhD N.M. Petechel, PhD N. Bashuri, L.S. Kulchak.
